Welcome to Creamjug

Spring Green Globe

"Pouring on the good stuff"

OK, so we don’t promote cream (but I do still like it...)
The reason for the name, is that despite this big bad world and some of the things that it throws at us, we want to show and highlight just some of the nice stuff that is still out there. It always will be there, but it is sometimes just a case of finding it.

We want to introduce some of the finest independent craftsmen and women, and ethical companies / employers, who are producing a wide variety of clothing, food and drink, jewellery, gifts, toys, arts and crafts from across the globe.

What's new...

Artisan / Hand made products Directory (with free listings...)
We are now pleased to introduce our new directory listing section, which is for all local artisans or people who hand make or hand finish items, who can then add their own Free listing. ( we also welcome specialist retailers, antiques and collectables etc and services such as sewing and knitting)

This free listing is more than just a few lines - It creates a fully featured webpage and also enables various images and videos to be uploaded, your address can also be shown on Google maps, your opening hours can be added, and also your social media accounts. Plus any other websites can be linked. (you can even place a link to your Etsy account...)

The value of this link is worth mentioning to help a business to get found - those of our readers who have studied SEO to a large or even a small degree, will quickly jump on this free listing offer with us.

Offers and Events
Another thing that we have added in conjunction with the directory listings, is a way for our artisan community to show their offers and events. These offers and events will show up on a separate tab on your business listing, but additionally on a separate summary page that is easily browsed and highly ranked by the search engines. We are looking for many additions to this section of our site over the next few days and weeks.

We also have a growing directory listing section for Restaurants and Cafes. This is mainly aimed at specialist chefs and owners, who are concentrating on Vegan and Vegetarian food, Organic, Gluten free or non GMO. We also have categories for Raw, Kosher, Dairy free and Soy free establishments.

As with the Artisan section, we offer the ability to create quality free listings. This listing is a tabbed webpage, which allows unlimited text, images, videos, and enables a link to any other website(s). You can even add your menus and opening hours, plus add and change custom content at will.

Did you know, that according to Statista, in the USA alone, in 2016 the Deli market was worth 26 Billion USD. The sales of speciality meats, cheeses and beverages continue to significantly increase year on year.

If you are one of the smaller independent Delicatessens looking for help to get your business get noticed, we have now added a
Delicatessen Business Directory. This is mainly for specialist retailers worldwide, of high quality, and often lesser known independent labelled Artisan food, drink and ingredients.

It is worth noting, the potential list of food items that you can display is endless and just targetting a specific, niche item will help your business listing to get noticed even further. Therefore, if you need any particular sub categories to be added to help you with this goal, please let us know and we wil try to accomodate your request where possible.

Similar to the Artisan and Restaurant business directories, you can add your Deli listings with us for free. There is ample facility to feature everything about your business, with unlimited text and images, and of course that ever valuable link back to your own website.

Other areas...
We feature cruelty free, vegan, cosmetics and skin care. Health, nutrition, wellness and organic, additive free, healthy food, drink and snacks, from artisans and companies who work closely with ingredients suppliers and crop growers from around the world on a sustainable fair trade basis.

We try to list clothing and fashion producers, who wherever possible are using ethical, organic cotton and other sustainable materials, sourced close to the place of manufacture, using established traditional skills that will support the economies of local communities.

green handshake We don’t just feature the many excellent artisan producers. We also want to introduce the growing list of employers / companies from across the world who are doing the right thing in respecting their workforce, which means humane working conditions, no long hours and fair pay. We like to find factories who are truly compliant ethical employers, producing quality fashionable clothing, and other products, in many of the under-privileged countries, where the very term "sweat shop" was first born and where it must now end.

Nobody should ever knowingly accept the misuse and exploitation of people in or out of the workplace.

Two of our favourite organisations - To help to protect people and animals...

We also look to feature on this site, manufacturers and other partners within the supply chain who promote and hold certification for Fair Trade Manufacture under the various different countries organisations within the World Fair Trade Organisation

The Fairtrade program actively helps to alleviate poverty by guaranteeing improved prices, and fair terms and working conditions for farmers and workers.

Fairtrade supports the development of farming / worker communities, giving them more control over their own future, protecting the environment in which they live and work

In the UK this operates under the
FairTrade Foundation

Cruelty Free International

cruelty free international logoCruelty Free International works to end animal experiments worldwide. They do this by investigating and exposing the reality of life for animals in laboratories. They challenge decision-makers to make a positive difference for animals. And they champion better science and cruelty free living.

When we see a product label or a reference to "not tested on animals" or "animal friendly", we need to be looking out for the Cruelty free International logo or the leaping bunny

Many Vegans are also supporters of this organization. It may be necessary to study and observe the edicts of both if you wish to fully achieve your animal friendly goals.

We hope you will visit us often and we welcome your messages and comments.
